Our latest home style crush is on artist
"I found my house on the bulletin board in a little coffee shop called The Backdoor Bakery in Silverlake. When I went to see it for the first time, I walked in the door and knew it was my home.
The architect who built it in 1929 also originally lived in it and put some pretty special details throughout; the turreted entryway, the domed living room ceiling, the large leaded glass window in the studio, etc. It is truly a unique house.
This house has nurtured and inspired me. It is where I make my artwork, share meals with friends and listen to owls hooting in the pine trees outside my bedroom window at night. I feel grounded and at peace here. I feel so lucky to have found this magical house and called it home for 13 years."
What we love most about Caitlin's home is that it oozes character.
It is filled with little travel pieces, memories, one off pieces, eclectic furniture and art works by Caitlin herself.
Most of all we love that it looks loved.
I don't think we need to say anymore... the home itself tells it's own story.
